What is FIRE Number?
FIRE Number is your financial freedom target based on annual expenses and withdrawal rate. For example: 600k annual expenses, 4% withdrawal rate = 600k ÷ 4% = 15 million.
About Withdrawal Rate
The 4% rule comes from US historical backtesting, showing that withdrawing 4% annually has a high probability of portfolio lasting 30+ years. 3% is more conservative, 5% is more aggressive but riskier.
